(Windows) How to Save your SHSH using TinyUmbrella

An SHSH is the signature given by Apple to approve firmware upgrades/downgrades. Once a new firmware is released, Apple stops signing the previous firmware, so that you can not downgrade to it. By using TinyUmbrella, you can back up the signature so that you may downgrade to a previous firmware version, even after Apple has stopped signing it.

Prerequisites:

How to Save your SHSH:

1. Download TinyUmbrella.

Download: TinyUmbrella 5.00.00
1900 downloads

2. Run TinyUmbrella by double-clicking the file that you just downloaded.

3. Plug your iDevice into your computer.

4. Click Save All SHSHs

NOTE: TinyUmbrella can only save the SHSHs stored by Cydia or the one currently signed by Apple (the newest firmware). If Cydia does not have the SHSH for a certain firmware and Apple has stopped signing it, then you are too late and can’t get that SHSH.

5. Wait while TinyUmbrella grabs your SHSHs. Once it finishes, you’re done!
