The limera1n bootrom exploit that was used to jailbreak all 3rd and 4th generation iDevices has been confirmed to be closed in the iPad 2 by MuscleNerd. The limera1n exploit was originally discovered by GeoHot and can be used to tethered jailbreak all of the 3rd and 4th generation iDevices forever, regardless of the firmware version.

The SHAtter exploit which had the ability to tethered jailbreak all A4 iDevices, but was never released, is also not effective on the iPad 2.
Early testing also seems to show at least one thing SHAtter depends on was gone by March 2010 too
