The 6.15.00 baseband is a version of the iPad 3G baseband. iPhone 3G’s and 3GS’s can be upgraded to this baseband so that they can be unlocked.

How to Upgrade to iPad Baseband
First, extract the archive containing redsn0w and run redsn0w or redsn0w.exe.

Click Browse and open the firmware file that you downloaded earlier. Once redsn0w has identified the firmware, click Next.

If you are using an iPhone 3GS, redsn0w will ask you if your iPhone is a newer (fixed) model. Follow the instructions given to determine which model iPhone you have. Answer accordingly.

Redsn0w begin preparing the jailbreak data.

After the jailbreak data has been prepared, uncheck Install Cydia if you are aready jailbroken. Click the checkbox next to Install iPad baseband. After you select Install iPad baseband, redsn0w will now warn you of the risks and disadvantages of upgrading to the iPad baseband. Read the risks and disadvantages. In addition to these risks, there is also a chance that you will lose your iPhone’s GPS functionality. If you are willing to deal with the risks and disadvantages then click Yes. If you are not willing to deal with the risks and disadvantages then click No and stop following this tutorial. If you clicked Yes, then proceed by clicking Next.

Turn off your iPhone and plug it into your computer. Click Next.

Follow the instructions provided by redsn0w to put your iPhone into DFU mode.

Once you have entered DFU mode, redsn0w will start jailbreaking and upgrading your baseband to the iPad baseband.
